Know thyself — “Temet Nosce” — The Matrix
Dear reader, I want to talk to you about a scene from the movie The Matrix, which holds a special place for me. Have you seen The Matrix? If your answer is “no,” I would definitely recommend that you watch it. The first film, in particular, is very meaningful. If your answer is “yes,” let me give you a little reminder.
In the scene where Neo meets the Oracle, she shows him the inscription above the door. It read “Temet Nosce.” This phrase is a Latin translation of the ancient Greek maxim “Gnothi seauton.” It is one of the first and most famous of the 147 maxims engraved at the entrance of the Temple of Apollo in ancient Greece. In Latin, it translates to “know yourself.”
Philosophically, the phrase signifies the importance of a person discovering their own inner world, fears, limitations, and strengths and weaknesses. Many scholars, philosophers, and people who have found inner peace believe that one cannot understand the world and the truth without first knowing oneself.
The Oracle tells Neo, “No one can tell you that you're the One. It's like being in love. You just feel it.” Then she tells Neo he's not the One. In fact, maybe that's what he needed to hear at that moment. In the final scene, however, we see that Neo is the One.
“Who am I?” Perhaps you have searched for the answer to this question many times throughout your life. No one can tell you; you can only feel it from within. The Chosen One isn't the one who saves the entire universe. That person is self-accepting someone who exists and manages their weaknesses, strengths, darkness, and light.
In other words, the “chosen one” is actually the one who chooses. You determine your choices and your path. And you will live with the consequences. As the Neo of your life, it's a choice to silence your emotions and mental storms.

Breathe
In this section, you'll practice relaxing through proper breathing. Proper breathing techniques calm the nervous system and reduce stress hormones in the body. They have shown positive results, especially for people with Hashimoto's, panic attacks, and anxiety. The key to a healthy nervous system starts with proper breathing. The best part about this function is that it's as close as a touch away whenever you need it.
Deep Think
This section is for confronting the thoughts that trap and imprison the mind for days and months. “Do your thoughts silence you, or do you silence them? Does your mind ever stop when you're trying to sleep at night?” This section is designed for you to confront these thoughts through writing and then let them go. Write, confront, and then release.
"If your thoughts are exhausting you, you're not alone. But the good news is it's possible to change this. This app provides you with simple, yet effective tools to reduce mental noise and regain control."
Grounding
Dear reader, there are two types of grounding: physical and mental.
What is physical grounding?
The synthetic clothing we wear daily, electromagnetic pollution, and other factors increase positive electrical charges in our bodies. The Earth is a giant battery and is rich in negatively charged electrons on its surface. An electrical connection is created between the ground and the body, and the body becomes aligned with the Earth's electrical potential. The moment you place your feet or hands on the ground, the positive static charge accumulated in your body is transferred to the earth, and your body is neutralized. This is like a natural “antioxidant” effect the voltage at the cellular level is reduced, and the healing process is accelerated.
Mental grounding happens by calming and re-coding the nervous system through thought.
Loop Breaker
Imagine this feature as a medieval warrior going into battle with a sword and a shield. Here, the sword is courage the force that drives you forward. The shield, however, is the loop breaker. The shield protects you and helps to break the repetitive negative thought loop. Within this feature, there are exercises to help you focus on your breath and small details during anxious and panicky moments.
It's been an interesting walk. That's all for today see you on other blogs.
